Calaguas is a group of islands in the province of Camarines Norte. The most visited beach in the area is Mahabang Buhangin, a lot of people who have been there would say that it’s white powdery sand is comparable to Boracay, but unlike the noisy and crowded beach of Boracay, Calaguas offer a more calm and subtle environment where you can enjoy the sun, sand and pristine water that this place have to offer.
This place was only known to backpackers and campers, it takes about an eight hours drive from Manila and a two hour boat ride from the mainland to reach Mahabang Buhangin, if you want to see Boracay 30 years ago this is definitely the place to be., no restaurant, no noisy bars or club so you can enjoy a true island getaway and the serenity of the place, a virgin island, with all the beauty it offers the only accommodation available is with a tent, a beach camp that is a totally different experience from other beach destination you have been to, a perfect place to bond with friends and/or families with any beach activity you can think of.
