Are you planning to go out on a trip or perhaps a retreat? Why spend so much for an out of the country vacation when you can already have all the sweetest escape here in the Philippines? It’s a sure thing your feet will land in a paradise – from Batanes to Jolo, anywhere in the Philippines. There is not a single island that isn’t endowed with natural wonders, and this is something we should be proud of!  Filipinos are more than blessed to have been born and lived in this wonderful archipelago.

A jingle that is akin to our custom, this is to attract more Filipinos to support and explore the wonders of the 7,107 islands our beloved Philippines is made of. The lyrics are written in Tagalog to be more in contact with the Filipinos and the tune is in an energetic mode to keep it young and fresh.

Sing the jingle along with the lyrics; you will surely know within yourself that our country is indeed a paradise. Together let us promote our much-loved country; there is no other person who can better promote Philippines than the Filipinos themselves

Below is the full lyrics of the “It’s More Fun In The Philippines” domestic jingle:

Kating kati na ba ang iyong mga paa?
Handa nang umalis, magliwaliw at lumarga?
Buti na lang taga-dito ka
‘Sing dami ng happenings
Ang dami ng isla

It’s more fun in the Philippines
Bakit pa lalayo?
Sobrang swerte kaya ng tsinelas mo
Nakatapak ka sa paraiso

It’s more fun in the Philippines
Bakit pa lalayo?
Mula Batanes hanggang Jolo
Iba ang saya ng Pilipino
It’s more fun in the Philippines

Nandito nang lahat
Saan pa pupunta?
Malalim ang dagat at mababaw ang ligaya
Halatang-halata na Pilipino ka
Abot-langit ang iyong ngiti
Lahi ng masasaya

It’s more fun in the Philippines
Bakit pa lalayo?
Sobrang swerte kaya ng tsinelas mo
Nakatapak ka sa paraiso

It’s more fun in the Philippines
Bakit pa lalayo?
Mula Batanes hanggang Jolo
Iba ang saya ng Pilipino
It’s more fun in the Philippines

‘Sing dami ng happenings
Ang dami ng mga isla

It’s more fun in the Philippines
Bakit pa lalayo?
Sobrang swerte kaya ng tsinelas mo
Nakatapak ka sa paraiso

It’s more fun in the Philippines
Bakit pa lalayo?
Mula Batanes hanggang Jolo
Iba ang saya ng Pilipino
It’s more fun in the Philippines

Kudos to the ad agency BBDO, lyricist Tin Sanchez, Music by Mike Villegas and Singer Jay Padua. Great. Now I know why “Jollibee” is so successful because as far as I know, the fastfood giant was marketed by the now DoT secretary Ramon Jimenez. Now in promoting the PHL as the top tourist destination. “It’s more fun in the Philippines”.

“halatang-halata na Pilipino ka”. It was sang as “halatang-halatang Pilipino Ka” which to me it should be. I don’t know if it follows the rule in formal readig and writing such as the word “could not”. In formal writing, you write the word as “could not” but you read it as “couldn’t” . I don’t know if that rule still stands. Or it’s maybe a case of “measure of the lyrics” such that if you sing the lyrics as it is written “mahaba na ang pagbanggit” at atrasado bago kantahin yung next lie line. Just asking.

i love the melody. The official lyrics posted on the website does not jibe the lyrics as sang by the singer. In the 2nd “Sing dami ng happenings Ang dami ng mga isla” but the singer says ” ang dami ng happenings . Ang dami ng isla”.
