Recognized as one of the finest waterfalls destination in the country, Aliwagwag Falls is a perfect summer retreat for those who have had enough of the beach. This famous body of water boasts of 84 series of falls with varying lengths ranging from six to 110 feet and from where pristine water cascades. At the foot of this 1,110 feet long waterfall is a river which could be enjoyed for bathing by tourists who hail locally and afar. Aliwagwag is in Cateel, around 25 kilometers from the town center. Cateel is 360 kilometers away from Davao City or around four to five hours bus ride. Though the trip might be quite long and tedious for some people, Aliwagwag is surely worth all the trouble. Once you arrive in the place, you will be surprised how much Mother Nature has blessed the place because aside from its magnificentwaterfalls that extend up to 20 meters in width, the place also abounds with rich vegetation of trees and teems with a great array of wildlife.
