The Alona Palm Beach Resort & Restaurant is located on the small island of Panglao (just approx. 16 x 7 km), connected by two short bridges to the main island of Bohol. Bohol is famous for its unique Chocolate Hills, a structure of scattered hills, which assume the looks of chocolate puddings in the dry season.
Panglao is virtually attached to Bohol, and connected by two bridges of just 50 meters in length. All major beach resorts are located on Panglao, with its pristine white beaches and clean seawater. Panglao is also a haven destination for divers.
Alona Palm Beach Resort & Restaurant is located on a slightly elevated area in the middle of a tropical garden, spacious and quiet. A 60 meter wide coconut palm grove divides the 12 luxury villas from the white beach. Almost all villas offer pool; coconut palm grove – and sea view. The open restaurant, overlooking the pool and sea, offers excellent Filipino and international cuisine, prepared by an experienced German chef.
A big and attractive swimming pool (450 m²) with fresh water, with integrated pool bar, recreation facilities like outdoor chess/checkers and others, forms the central part of the resort. Sun beds, towels and umbrellas are available both at the pool deck and at the beach area.
All the villas are elegantly furnished, either with a king size bed (180 x 200 cm) or two double sized beds (140 x 200 cm). The big bathrooms offer hot and cold shower, two lavabos, toilet and a dressing table. Accommodation can be offered for a yaya/babysitter which accompanies a family, in a separate building.
The restaurant offers a variety of local and international dishes, all prepared under the supervision of the experienced German kitchen chef Uli. The kitchen offers a varied menu, entrees, salads, fish and meat main courses and deserts, both local and from around the world, supplemented by daily offers, depending upon market availability. A well furbished wine list, with an international selection of white and red wines, allows you to accompany your meals with the best of drinks.
Before and/or after the dinner, sit at the pool bar, either inside the pool or in the dry, to savor one of the excellent cocktails or drinks prepared by our bartenders.
For a romantic candle-light dinner, one can also avail of the many tables put out around the swimming pool, plenty of seats available. In case of rainy weather or for those wanting some ventilation, the indoor restaurant, open to all sides and with overhead fans, offers sitting capacity for over 90 people.
