Pujada and Oak Island in Mati, Davao Oriental
Dotted in Mati, Davao Oriental is Oak Island, an additional must-discover treasure which is more popularly known as the Vanishing Island in one of the three islands of Pujada Bay. It is famous for its sand bar that can be seen only during low tide and vanishes during high tide. It is also adored for its crystal clear aquamarine waters and captivating seascape view.
Canibad Beach in IGACOS

Canibad may never come close to any of the luxurious beaches in the Philippines but it sure has something extraordinary to exude that will capture your taste. Though Canibad may not have the facilities to cater to the needs of its vacation goers like cottages and stable electrict, it takes pride for its secluded and virgin environment that is definitely calming and awe-inspiring. To visit Canibad you may take a bus in Sta. Ana Warf to Penaplata then ride a single motor to get you directly to the place. You may also hire a multicab ride to get to the place upon arriving in Samal however; it would be pricey if you are not composed of a big group.
Little Boracay in Sta. Maria, Davao Occidental
Photo from Little Boracay FB page
Though smaller in terms of size compared to the popular Boracay Island, this little atoll in Sta. Maria, Davao del Sur has something more to showcase more than just being an imitation. Little Boracay has a more laidback atmosphere since it doesn’t have a teeming crowd and a commercialized setting, yet any visitor can still fully enjoy the magnificence of its clear blue waters and stunning seascape. Little Boracay can be reached by bus from Davao City and rent motorcycle from Sta. Maria.

Nice u wint regret…
Try to check out the waniban island in mati davao oriental. Why it did not included.
6 of 10 — FYI: the 3rd picture is not cape san agustin beach – herein it is Babak Beach in Pundaguitan, GovGen (the owner is a friend of mine) – cabuaya beach (acces thru pundaguitan) in mati city haven’t listed here – it is absolutely a mystical and dew dropping piece of paradise
I have been there in Isla Reta, Cape San Agustin, and Canibad.
To testify: you won’t regret it. Super clean ang mga beaches, clear as like swimming pool that you can see the bottom with so many sea weeds in Isla Reta… It can be eaten.
Sa Canibad ako nakakita ng meteors shower way back 2007. Kc wala pang ilaw doon, no electricity. Kaya feel na feel ang nature at very clear skies with so many stars. Ewan ko lng ngayon bka may electricity na doon.
That’s all thank you. (^_^)
We had scouts camping before during my highschool days at sta maria on a beach called kulungan I doubt if this is now called little boracay, wish to be there soon.
Little boracay situated in sta maria now part of the new created province davao occidental.
“This little atoll in Sta. Maria”
Alam nyo po ba kung ano po ba ang isang “atoll”?
Atoll means a ring shape coral reefs that encircles a lagoon… Sana nilagay na lang po na shoreline or the like. Na confuse tuloy ako…
Shoreline talaga siya author promise….
