This premier beach resort, located in Dauin, offers a variety of recreational activities. Bahura is a beachside property housed within a coconut plantation, and is only half an hour from Dumaguete Airport. Guests will enjoy easy access to a variety of locations, such as numerous historical, cultural, and tourist attractions. Guests can enjoy a vast selection of interesting attractions such as hiking, kayaking, rappelling, picnicking at the beach, and diving in the amazing dive sites of Dumaguete. The Bahura Resort and Spa is the perfect property for visitors that want a sensibly priced hotel in a grand location.

Bahura which is the Spanish word for “reefs” is an apt testament to the rich marine life accessible from the resort. Representing the best in the Philippine Diving, our house reef is a protected sanctuary, while world famous Apo Island is a mere 25 minute boat ride away.

Diving is easy here at the Bahura Resort and Spa. A few steps from the beach will lead you to our own house reef. Sea grasses give way to coral bommies filled with crinoids and ornamental fish. A sloping reef of hard corals down to about 23 meters give way to a sandy area filled with soft corals.

Offering massage and other body treatments to vacationing divers or their non-diving companions, the spa complements the other activities available at the property. These include kayaking, pedal boats, banana boats, hobie cats, snorkeling tours, dolphin watching ,atv rides, caving and rappelling, marketday shopping.

Two hotel buildings and 8 villas are located on a well kept 5 hectare beachside coconut plantation. It is easily reachable by a short flight to Dumaguete from Manila or by van and ferry by Cebu City.

Bahura offers a refreshing blend of discovery, excitement and relaxation. A tropical paradise where you can do everything, or if you prefer, absolutely nothing at all. A natural playground waiting to be explored. A place to bond and find new adventures.
A place that you will return to year after year.

Getting There

Prior to arrival at Bahura Resort and Spa, you’ll be landing in Dumaguete City, capital of the province, easily reached by four direct flights daily from Metro Manila as well as by fast crafts and inter-island ferries from Cebu and other ports. A twenty-five minute drive then follows south to Dauin. And another way is the new flight from Cebu to Dumaguete (vv) flying every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
