The Lisland Rainforest Resort s the perfect stopover on the long trip to Vigan. It is also the jump-off point for discovering the Hundred Islands National Park, which is just one hour away. There is no other hotel with such charm in the immediate vicinity of the national park.

After leaving the congested roads of Manila, you will be surprised to find this oasis of greenery and calm in the heart of the noisy town of Urdaneta.

The resort is in fact built on the remains of an old patch of rainforest – many trees as possible were saved during its construction. According to its owners, staunch protector of the environment, about 788 adult tress still remain in the property.

The highlight of the hotel is the large swimming pool surrounding the main building like a bluish lagoon reflecting the silhouette of the trees. What a pleasure to take a dip in its cool waters. You can relax in deck chairs, listening only to the sound of birds that inhibit the little forest.

The main building, a nice structure with by windows, houses the reception area and conference halls. The cottages are built only on one part of the property, in the middle of a green lawn. Painted entirely in white, these are tastefully decorated and are furnished with all the required comforts.

The pleasant, well-furnished restaurant is in a large building opening directly onto the swimming pool and the garden.

How to get there

By land (4 hours) 182 km away from Manila. Take North Expressway at Balintawak and get off at exita. Take the North Diversion road to MacArthur Highway. You pass by Angeles City and Tarlac, before reaching Pangasinan province where Urdaneta is located.
