Aside from being known as the land of friendly people, Dumaguete has a lot of other things to be proud of. One of which is the Casaroro waterfalls located in Valencia, Negros Oriental which is nine kilometers away from Dumaguete City proper. The falls stand proud with its 100 feet height from which spring water flows into a narrow opening. However, despite its being narrow, the water that plummets down is surprisingly heavy and emits a roaring sound. Surely, the stream below is ideal for any visitors to enjoy. It is indeed a very relaxing way to spend the summer or any other family outing during holidays and vacations. Going to the falls is also an adventure itself and could be a good mountain trekking location. For those who wish the easier route, the concrete stairs made up of 350 steps can be used. For accommodation, you can always find a decent place to stay in the town of Valencia.
